Down and feather are common fillings in duvets and pillows. They provide a nice comfort and have a naturally effective ability to transport excess moisture and heat away, so you stay comfy dry and pleasantly snug all night. The down and feather we use is recycled or comes from meat production at traceable farms and slaughterhouses.
With a little care, you can prolong the life of your down/feather pillow and keep it fresh. The filling has a natural smell which can be reduced by airing or washing. Wash the pillow separately with a mild detergent (1/3 of the normal amount) on delicate cycle at 60°C. Avoid bleach/fabric softeners. Tumble dry immediately on low heat. A dryer ball or a high-quality tennis ball in the dryer make drying mor efficient. Air your pillow regularly, if possible, in direct sunlight.
At IKEA, we ensure that our pillows meet the highest quality demands. Our dedicated team of product developers listen to what customers have to say and constantly work to improve every aspect of the pillow. This includes extensive testing of the filling, comfort and durability to make sure they meet our strict quality standards. We also do our best to use long-lasting materials that will stand the test of time and give you many years of comfy and blissful sleep.
