“When designing textiles for FÖSSTA Chinese New Year collection I was inspired by traditional Chinese plum blossom paintings made with ink wash technique – as used in calligraphy. A distinct feature is the white blossoms that stand out in contrast to the bare background. As Ming dynasty artist Li Quingjiang once explained, there may be thousands of blossoms on a plumb tree but when you only take a few and express them in loose brush strokes, you get a remarkable result.”

100% cotton

Environment

No optical brightener has been used. The cotton in this product is grown with less water, less chemical fertilizers and less chemical pesticides, while increasing profit margins for the farmers. That way, we lower our environmental impact. By using a renewable material like cotton in this product, we avoid using fossil or finite materials.

Care instructions

Shrinkage maximum 4%.
Machine wash, max 40°C, normal process.
Do not bleach.
Tumble drying, low temperature (max 60°C).
Iron, max 110°C.
Do not dryclean.
